green: whose style do you imitate the most?
Hmm, I’m not consciously aware of imitating anyone, except when trying to match the feel of a written work in fanfic or whatever. I have a sinking feeling that I tend toward imitating the style of whoever I read last.
white: weirdest thing you’ve ever written
Uh. Well, there’s my one-time obsession with writing Carnivàle crack snippets at inkdot about Lodz feeding sandwiches to Ben Hawkins. Or the Sheldon/Penny bodyswap, or the jar fic, or this bizarre post-ADWD Sansa spec fic, or the This American Life/HHGG/Bil & Ted crossover. Or my remix of andthenisay’s BBT fandom anthropomorfic classic.
lime: what are some of the most prevalent themes in your work?
Uhhhhh idk. I guess people finding themselves in circumstances they’re having trouble navigating is a through-line? Uncertainty; exploration, both internal and external? I knew how to do this at one point!

"Yellow and pink (pink is like my favorite question in the universe)"
yellow: what is your favorite style?
idk how to answer this! I like writing easy-breezy pop culturally-drenched fluff but I think I’m better suited to dark apocalypse/turmoil times.
pink: what attracts you to writing in general? why do you love it?
I love the challenge of trying to translate thought to paper, and trying to evoke reactions in people. But it’s not really an attraction to writing so much as it feels like a compulsion. Everything just feels wrong when I can’t write.

- orange: who is your greatest literary inspiration, and why?
If I ever write anything I find half as elegant and evocative as Virginia Woolf’s writing, I will be the happiest of campers.

"Dany/Success or Sansa/Success"
SANSA/SUCCESS. SANSA/ALL OF THE SUCCESS.
I mean, Dany/success is probably the way more likely of the two, but Dany/failure is so amazing. Like. This girl cannot get anything to go her way EVER.
EVER.
It’s like her superpower. She’s not taking anything by fire and blood, she’s taking everything by accidentally wandering into it at some point after she’s fired and blooded everything in a fruitless attempt at exercising her own power which explodes oh so cruelly in her face and leaves her with less than before.
And I want Sansa to get everything ever the end.

"and speaking of so wrong it's right (we weren't discussing that? SCANDALOUS), how about sansa/sandor or sherlock/molly?"
WHY DID I SAY GIVE ME PAIRINGS EVERYONE IS KILLING ME WITH THESE CHOICES
Fine, okay, Sansa/Sandor. BECAUSE a) ugggggggh and b) UGGGGGGH. Um, that roughly translates to THERE IS SUCH POTENTIAL FOR THEM IN THE FUTURE PROVIDED CERTAIN FAN THEORIES ARE RIGHT AND ALSO ALL I WANT IN THE WORLD IS FOR THOSE THEORIES TO BE RIGHT. And because the aforementioned beauty/beast weakness I have, plus also! She is totally going to be a pegging major, for starters, and the pairing I love more than anything in the world is pegging major/(awesome) faily guy, which THIS IS. Like. UGH I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS FOREVER, BUT: SPOILERS. >:(
Buttttt Sherlock/Molly *_* except that Molly deserves someone who will actually give her time, attention, and consideration, and Sherlock is never ever ever ever ever ever ever going to be that dude. For Watson he will eventually be something like that dude (and is already well on his way there obviously) but in Sherlock’s world there is Sherlock, and then there is Watson, and then there is everybody else.

Like, ugh, Sandor/Sansa, right? But that’s a good ugh because &beauty and the beast pairings; but also bad ugh because ew beauty and the beast pairings, right? (Coherence, I has none!) But Brienne/Jaime is, like, bickering and redemption arcs and competence porn and other spoilery things. SO. Brienne/Jaime. But… NO: BRIENNE/JAIME.
oh my god WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THESE TWO HORROR SHOWS. Ugggghghhahdfhaldskfj;l can I pick Ramsay/Littlefinger? Ramsay/dragonfire/Littlefinger/Others? Ramsay/the swords forged from Ice/Littlefinger? I mean, it’s got to be Littlefinger/Sansa because RAMSAY »»»»»>:( but Littlefinger/Sansa grosses me out so hard idek what to say.
…aren’t you glad you asked? :D?

"Have you read Packing for Mars?"
Yes, I have! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in space or NASA or science or astronauts or poop.
Mary Roach is a great author, really good at distilling the interesting points from what’s dry and boring in other hands. And she makes the esoteric or off-putting totally accessible. And she’s hilarious. BONK and SPOOK are worth picking up, too.
It’s not a great starting point for anyone interested in mission-specific NASA history kind of stuff though. For that I’d recommend This New Ocean and Apollo but they’re a bit dry (and suuuuuper dense). Tom Wolfe’s The Right Stuff and Jim Lovell’s Lost Moon (aka Apollo 13) are pretty obviously popular reads. I haven’t gotten through many astronaut bios yet but I like Mike Mullane and Gene Cernan’s books, and Buzz Aldrin “co-writes” some fun novels.

That’s the answer for today, anyway. The eternal answer is a tie: extreme woobification and shipwars. God, especially the shipwars. Fuck offfffffff with that nonsense. If you’re over the age of nine, you are officially too old for that shit.

I actually don’t! There’s so many amazing images there, it would be impossible to pick a favorite.
But I have had this A Sharp View of the Sun as the background on my phone for about six months.
