Lol, what don’t I find interesting would be easier to answer. (For the record: not much.) (Also for those who don’t know what Sustain is, it’s the Sherlock/Molly fic I still won’t shut up about.)

I love how much Molly is explored as a character, with backstory and individual quirks that are realistic and believable and mesh well with what we already know about her (things revealed both before and after the story was written, as well). I love the expansion of Sherlock, how incredibly frustrating I find him as a character, when it would be so much easier to write him as a romanticized, smoothed out version instead. Plus, ugh, babyfic *_* Fatal weakness, that.

I love how satisfying and frustrating their relationship is, how John and Lestrade and Mycroft and Sarah all react to it, how confused Molly can be, how confused Sherlock is constantly, how there are no neat, pat conclusions. That Sherlock keeps resolving to fix things but doesn’t understand how he’s broken them in the first place. 

What’s really blown my socks off in Refrain is the new casefile aspect. It’s creepy and heart-breaking, and the level of detail and description is amazing (the scene where Sherlock and John watch the baby through the glass, I probably read that six times in a row this morning before I could go any further. Just, the vein and John’s face and Sherlock won’t stop making it worse, it’s. Wow. Wow.)

Anyway, it’s amazing and you guys are amazing and idk how you wound up here but hello! Thank you for writing it! I can’t wait to see part three (omg seriously I can’t wait I want it now).
