In high school, Janie (Saldana), Kaitlyn (Smulders), and Raya (Bell) were inseparable. They did it all: newspaper and yearbook, varsity soccer, homecoming court, the spring musical. They shared everything, secrets and crushes and homework, right up to their joint graduation party and mutual coordinated breakups with their respective sweethearts. Even their yearbook mottoes matched—Who needs a date when you’ve got a best friend?—but they went their separate ways for college. Separated by hundreds of miles, the three best friends slowly drifted apart.
When a reunion looms, they decide it’s time to reconnect. Before Janie starts her new job in the Senator’s office. Before Kaitlyn moves to New York to try her luck. And before Raya finally starts a family with her new wife.
One last blow-out. That’s the plan. A “single ladies” week, full of almost everything they always planned to do, during all those giggly late nights over a bottle passed back and forth behind the stadium. They’ll leave their lives behind, just for one week. No consequences. No shame.
What could possibly go wrong?
