Since Talisa is apparently just a Talisa*…My fear regarding her and Cat next season…
I’ll do it under a cut for those who haven’t read the books…

I adore Catelyn (Tully) Stark, I do. With all of my heart. She is my lady mother. She is brave and true and loves her family.
But I thought releasing Jaime was a stupid move.
If people who only watch the show think it was a stupid move, that’s okay.
It is not a failing on the show’s part.
Every word that Robb says to her is true. She betrays him. She weakens him strategically. She weakens him in the eyes of his men AND in the eyes of his enemies. She commits an act of treason.
Being a “stan” is stupid. Being a “stan” means you’re a completely illogical fool regarding a character. Why?
Why can’t I love these characters or at least understand them and feel for them, if not completely love them, and still think they do things wrong?
Maybe it’s because I’m from Camp Clegane over here, but I think everyone needs to calm down.
It’s a politically questionable move, yes.
But it’s one that comes AT THE SAME TIME AS ROBB MAKES AN EVEN WORSE DECISION.
And that is pretty important.
Instead the show is singling out Cat for her decision and painting her as a hysterical woman and I really hate that.
In the books Robb and Cat BOTH make bad strategic decisions that are motivated by grief and love, and they both recognize that in the other person’s actions and thus neither character gets angry with the other.
In the show, Cat makes a bad decision for shits and giggles and then Robb yells at her for it and puts her under arrest.
Do you see the difference?

Sherlock’s executive producer Steven Moffat has promised fans that the climax to the glossy detective drama’s third series will leave them “just as frustrated as ever they were.”
Speaking at the Bafta Craft awards held last weekend, the writer admitted that he and co-writer Mark Gatiss had already penned an ingenious conclusion to the eagerly-awaited third season of the show. He said: “We’ve had our meeting, we’ve decided what we’re doing and how we’re going to approach it, and I think we’ve got a climax to the next series that will have people just as frustrated as they ever were.”
Moffat also said that Sherlock’s faux-demise at the end of series two would likely go down as one of the most cunning in history when its method is revealed to fans. “We know what we’re doing. If Sherlock Holmes is going to fake his own death, it better be the best faked death of all time. I think it’s pretty good,” he said.

You’re avoiding something. It might be an invisible corner. It might be a box of crap you need to deal with. It might be your junk drawer. Whatever it is that you’ve been relieved that none of the challenges so far have made you deal with, that’s what you’re dealing with for the next 20 minutes. Don’t lie to yourself. You’re putting something off, but now you have to go deal with it.
I guess it’s time to mow the lawn for real.

Oh Lauren why? (she was was sentenced to four months in jail suspended and 80 hrs community service)
Lauren Socha, a star of E4’s Misfits, has pleaded guilty to racially aggravated assault of a taxi driver.
The BAFTA-winning actress, who plays Kelly in the teen drama, was sentenced to four months in jail for attacking Sakander Iqbal in Derby city centre in the early hours of the morning on October 1 last year.….
Socha was accused of punching and racially abusing the cab driver following a nine-hour drinking session. Iqbal, 52, is quoted by The Independent as saying that the incident represents the worst abuse he has received since moving to the UK in 1970.
“She called me a P**i, a dirty b**stard and said, ‘You’re Asian, f**k off back to where you came from’,” he told reporters. “She said, ‘Do you know who I am? I’ll have your family lifted’.”

Does anyone know of any writing challenge comms like joss_100 or kink_bingo that are still active/don’t require a bunch of sign-up hoops?
I need a prompt table to fill out because I’ve only finished like five fics this year and continuing to be this fucking precious about the words I put on paper isn’t helping anything.

“A new study by M. Marit Rehavi of the University of British Columbia and Sonja B. Starr of the University of Michigan Law School shows that Black Americans receive almost 60% long prison sentences than white Americans who committed the same crime.
The study covered 58,000 federal criminal cases and found that there was a significant difference between the sentences given to Black people to those given to white people.”
Wow.
